An updated Consensus Guideline by worldwide experts is now available:

See the publication of CLSI document NBS04-Ed2, Newborn Screening by Tandem Mass Spectrometry. The document is now available by the Clinical & Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI), an institute that provides standards and guidelines for medical professionals through its unique consensus process.

Newborn Screening is an important part of preventive medicine that can be provided immediately after birth to identify babies at risk with potential life-threatening diseases. This published guideline is an important step to share knowledge and information by leading experts to all Newborn Screening laboratories worldwide.
